Nothing much to report to-day. We spent it seeing a doctor, getting a Medicare card and filling our prescriptions. The doctor at the walk in clinic was lovely, gave us plenty of time and treated us like intelligent adults. That was a change for us. She told us we'd need our UK Health card to get our Aus medicare card - we have a reciprocal agreement apparently. Off we went to Indoorpilly mall, then had to turn round to get our cards. Parked, walked down 3 floors, got our number at the Centre, waited our turn (it was just like the P.O.) we needed our passports too! Back home for a late lunch, filled in the form and returned to repeat the procedure. It did mean that most of the money we'd paid the doc was refunded and the antibios were cheaper. No free medication for oldies here.
After going home to take the first pill, we drove to the Botanical Gardens for an icecream prior to filling the car with fuel before returning it to-morrow morning. We're driving ourselves to the airport at 6 a.m., dropping the car and taking their courtesy bus to the domestic terminal.
Next instalment, Tasmania they have WiFi access.
