Maiala for Lunch

Mike and Sara left early for Brisbane City Centre; we decided to take the boys out for lunch. Given a choice between Colleges Crossing and Maiala they chose the latter. Soon after The Gap,Josh started complaining about having a tummy ache. We gave him a run out at McAfees Lookout and he seemed fine. The cafe roadside was lined with handsome motorbikes, their owners eating in road facing tables.

We always go to the back and outside. They were very busy to-day but still faster service than that at Colleges C. The boys were on good form and thoroughly enjoyed their meals, although we had to take two scones away with us, they were rather large.
Two Crimson Rosellas and an Eastern Spinebill came down to feed but little else.

Pam left to aircon the car whilst I escorted J and H across the road. It was overcast all morning and very muggy.
Part of the way down the hill, Harry announced that Josh needed the loo so we hurried towards the nearest - at the Rangers station. Unfortunately, he didn't make it and was sick all over himself and the back seat. By some miracle Harry escaped every drop. Neither Pam nor H can stand sick so departed to heave themselves, leaving me to clean up Josh and the car. Tissues and wet wipes are wonderful. Poor little lad was very upset and apologetic, looking small and frail sitting on a poly bag in his underpants. No more accidents before we were home. Mike and Sara soon followed so that I could ask for a brush, cleaning liquid and a bucket. Mike helped - Sara can't manage either - and has continued to work on it at intervals to-night.
There was an almighty thunderstorm at tea-time, the loudest claps of thunder I can remember . That and the rain cleared the air, thank goodness. When it was over, Sara, Pam and I went grocery shopping for to-morrow's meal and I'm looking forward to bed.
